Q: Alpha-Purify is a regular exhibitor at AquaTech. What
makes this event so important for the team?
Berenika: AquaTech is a key event in our
calendar because it brings together the entire water treatment industry in one
place. It’s not just about showcasing our products—it’s about connecting with
system manufacturers, engineers, and industry professionals who are actively
shaping the future of water purification.
We’ve been exhibiting here for over
a decade, and each time, we see new innovations and growing interest in
UV disinfection. It’s also a great opportunity to engage in discussions about
the regulatory landscape, emerging technologies, and the challenges our
customers face.
Q: Events like AquaTech bring together professionals who
truly understand UV technology. How did you find the conversations at this
year’s event?
Berenika: The conversations were incredibly
engaging. It’s always exciting to speak with people who not only understand UV
disinfection but also see its growing potential in the industry. There was a
real sense of momentum around UV technology, with more organisations
recognising it as a reliable, sustainable solution for water treatment.
One of the standout aspects this year was seeing new
initiatives like the UV Alliance being formed to promote and educate the
industry on the benefits of UV disinfection. It’s great to see more
collaboration in the sector, helping to drive awareness and innovation.
AquaTech provided the perfect setting for these discussions, and we left feeling
energised by the shared enthusiasm for what UV can achieve.
Q: How valuable was the opportunity to meet with
existing customers in person?
Berenika: Extremely valuable. While we stay in
close contact with our customers throughout the year, there’s no substitute for
face-to-face conversations.
AquaTech gave us the perfect opportunity to
reconnect, discuss ongoing projects, and gain direct feedback on our products.
These meetings often lead to deeper collaborations. Many of
our existing customers came to us with new challenges they’re facing, and being
able to discuss solutions in person makes a huge difference. It also reinforces
the trust and strong relationships we’ve built over the years.
Q: What were the most common discussions you had at the
Alpha-Purify stand?
Berenika: Many visitors wanted to discuss
long-term reliability and performance. UV disinfection is a critical part of
many water treatment systems, so operators are looking for lamps that offer
consistent performance over their lifespan.
Also, the debate between LED and
conventional mercury technology continues. While LED has established its market
in point-of-use and residential applications, Aquatech 2025 reaffirmed that
conventional mercury is expected to remain a key technology for many years to
come.
Q: Looking ahead, how does Alpha-Purify plan to build on
the connections and insights gained from AquaTech?
Berenika: AquaTech is just the beginning of many
ongoing conversations. We’ll be following up with the industry professionals
and businesses we met to explore how we can support their UV disinfection
needs.
We’re also continuing to invest in research and development
to enhance our product range. As demand for UV disinfection grows, we want to
ensure that we stay at the forefront of innovation—offering reliable,
high-performance solutions for a wide range of applications.
To anyone who visited our stand—thank you for stopping by!
